JOB TITLE: Campus Special Programs Clerk
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
DEPARTMENT: Department of Instruction
Terms: 192
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist Special Programs evaluation staff in the preparation and management of ARD/504 materials, schedule ARD/504 meetings as requested, provide clerical and other support services to Special Programs staff as assigned, serve as Special Programs point of contact on assigned campus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Basic and general fundamentals of office administrative support
- Customer service principles and office etiquette
- Basic computer operation, software and applications used in district
- General and specific office equipment required to complete tasks
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge of technology and the programs necessary to do the job
- Receive referrals, obtain informed consent from parents, log information in software
- Provide secretarial services for support staff such as maintaining logs, copying and distributing documentation
- Maintain an organized and welcoming environment for meetings
- Take phone and email messages and deliver to appropriate staff member
- Greet visitors to the Special Programs office and project a professional image
- Communicate appropriately with all staff, parents, and visitors
- Communicate information to appropriate staff regarding IEPs, 504 plans, and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Schedule ARD/504 meetings as requested
- Notify/Remind staff and parents about ARD/504 meetings
- Take minutes at ARD/504 meetings as requested
- Maintain confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned.
